After the fresh clove of garlic I just ate, I think the pungent scent is lodged in my DNA…. Here’s what else has gotten stuck in people’s DNA recently.
From Liner Notes:
It’s in my DNA. I’m always behind the camera. In fact, I’ve instructed my family that upon my demise, I want my headstone to be shaped like a giant camera, with a button people can push to have their picture taken at my gravesite. There’ll be a caption that says, “thanks for visiting”.
From rohan_kini:
Why do we ask for a discount ?
- asking for a discount is ingrained in my DNA. I have to ask for a discount, else I am just not comfortable.
From Miss Duffy’s:
I don’t want to get specific about my hording, collecting, recycling, “we may need this someday†habits, but I do want to say that I have realized that I might be a little ridiculously attached to things. I’m trying to over come it, but I think it is very embedded in my DNA. “Sorry Mom!â€

I searched for “it’s in my DNA” across all my various websites, just on the off chance that I’d actually used the phrase. I haven’t. Didn’t think I had. So, then I searched across British academia using the “site:co.uk” keyword in Google. Nothing. Nada. Nowt. With “site:edu”? Just one entry, a googlewhackblatt in other words:
“I’m not a Muhammad Ali or a Dr. King,” [Bruce] Gordon said [in an interview here], with the blend of conviction and modesty that seems to be a hallmark of his speech. “But in terms of what they tried to do, it’s in my DNA. It’s embedded.”

lol You might have made your search too narrow by including “it’s”….
