Wish List of Books about DNA and Genetics

Today is my birthday! And although I have a small collection of books about DNA and genetics (what I currently own, not what I’ve read in my lifetime), I’m always looking to add more. Help me add to my Amazon wish list of genetics books by telling me your favorites! I’ll create a master list when I get back from vacation. To get everyone started, my favorite trade genetics book is Genome by Matt Ridley.

Let me be first to wish you Happy Birthday, hope you’re somewhere dry and wind-free to celebrate.

Happy Birthday! Have yourself a great day and a great big slice of cake
Happy Birthday! Take the day off and enjoy yourself. You have done a great job with this blog. I log into this blog a couple of times a day….it’s addicting!
Happy Birthday to you with all my best wishes!
Happy Birthday indeed…one of my favorites that I have read is Darwin’s God by Ken Miller. He does such a great job of explaining the evidence that evolution happens and how scientists are sabotaging themselves and evolution. Really a fun book.
Happy Belated! I knew I liked you. I am a Leo too. August 18th is my birthday!
I like your wish list! Apparently, according to the cytogenetics geeks down the hall from me, the karyotype in Genetics for Dummies is all wrong. Of course, I have read a genetics text book that said that cystic fibrosis was a sex-linked disorder! Too funny.
I read some bad reviews for the Dummies one but I think the Idiots Guide to Genetics is supposed to be decent.
Thank you, everyone! The big 3-5 birthday was one of the best I’ve ever had.
What I mean is - the 35th was a good one, not that it was the best of many 35th birthdays I’ve ever had. Bleurgh. heh
