- I’ve got a job title at DNA Direct! Check me out - Hsien-Hsien Lei, PhD, Genetic Information Specialist.
- The CDC Genomics & Health Weekly Update features Eye on DNA this week under Let’s Go Surfing! (Sorry about last week’s false alarm.)
- Thanks also to the New York State Genetic Health Professionals Association for adding Eye on DNA to their list of genetics websites. They are working to pass legislation to establish licensure for genetic counselors in New York.
Carol Torgan of Revolution Health’s Body Shop looks at a genetic map quest: what the new individual genome map means for you .- Speaking of maps, another genome-wide association study has found several gene loci associated with Crohn’s disease: NOD2, IBD5, IL23R, among others. Researchers from Genizon and Genentech have also used data from whole genome association studies of Crohn’s disease to develop a “GeneMap” of gene-gene interactions and biochemical pathways.
- The Genetic Genealogist has an interview with Dana Waring of the Personal Genetics Education Project. (I wrote about the pgEd in July.)

Thanks, Blaine! It was fun making up my job title. hahaa
Yes, that title sounds great!
I was sort of partial to “info gofer” but I suppose GIS will do. Think we could make that into a job with credentials?
New title sounds great. Keep us posted on how things are going for you with DNA Direct!
Thanks, Dana! We’re hoping to have some exciting new launches soon.
