That's a bit insane considering most established annual conferences in the science and medical fields are no more than a few hundred dollars per participant. If the Consumer Genetics Show wants anyone to attend, they definitely need to lower their price substantially, such as to $150 or so for the entire show. I mean come on, we're in a depression here! No one's gonna shell out $850 for some conference that's never before been held - how do we even know if it's going to be good or not?
